Kargath is a small, functional Horde base where orcs and their allies regroup and resupply when adventuring in this part of the world.
On the orders of Thrall, the Kargath Expeditionary Force makes frequent excursions into the arid landscape. Exploration of the land has revealed rich mineral and gem deposits, as well as Uldaman, an excavation site that seems to be of high interest to the dwarves. Horde forces are continually sent to Uldaman to explore the secrets the dwarves value so highly. The Horde also have dug a narrow pass into the Searing Gorge in hopes of finding a road to Blackrock Mountain.
Kargath's flight path is very important because it links the northern and the southern areas of Horde flight paths on the Eastern Kingdoms. It links Hammerfall and the Undercity in the north to Grom'Gol, Booty Bay, and Stonard in the south.
